My website has been up and running for over six months now but I am yet to post my first blog, so I thought it was about time I tried it!
So firstly, I thought I'd introduce myself - I'm Ruthie, the one woman band behind Ruthie's Craft Creations. I spend most of my days in my home-based craft room creating beautiful gifts centering around uplifting and positive messages.
Ruthie's Craft Creations was born through finding creativity as a way of relaxing and helping my mind switch off. I have always been a lover of nature and have been practicing yoga and meditation for the last six years but I wanted to add to the ways I can achieve calm and contentment. I found that creating things is a therapy for me and I'd love to share my experiences with you all in the hope that it could help you too.
So as a result of creating gifts for friends and family and being encouraged to share my designs, I began an Etsy shop back in 2018. It made me so happy to be able to share my creations with a wider audience and I was excited to see what would evolve over the coming months and years. Etsy is a brilliant marketplace but I felt that I was missing the opportunity to shout about my other passions; nature, wellbeing and mindfulness. So there came the idea of starting a website which could incorporate both... and here I am almost 3 years later with a website that promotes wellbeing and has the added advantage of a shop where customers can purchase handmade gifts for their friends and loved ones.
So what is it that I make? My biggest product range is the pebble art frames of which I have over 80 designs. These consist of beautifully smooth textured pebbles with uplifting quotes and messages which are all individually stamped using rubber letters and an ink pad. Each pebble art frame can be personalised, whether that means simply adding a name along with a quote, working with you to create a completely unique message or using pebbles to create the idea you have in your mind.
Alongside the pebble art frames, I also hand paint smooth stones which make a unique feature both inside and outside the home. My lovely customers often share how they use these as a decoration in the living room, a paper weight, or a special garden feature.
My newest product range is a variety of clay keepsakes which make cute token gifts at affordable prices. These come with the option to add a gift box making them even more special for a friend or loved one.
